- K2 BIO FILTER MEDIA: K2 Moving-Bed Biofilm Reactor Filter Media (MBBR) is efficient in creating the perfect environment for fish and plant life. The K2 Bio Media provides maximum surface area for the growth of beneficial bcteria to support the nitrification cycle making this media very efficient. The large surface area builds strong good bcteria colonies to support the natural nitrification cycle in converting amonia to nitrits and nitrits to nitrats.
- SIZE AND DIMENSIONS: The size of K2 filter media is 10mm x 7mm with a surface area of >1,000 m2/m3. Bio Media Plus is manufactured from VIRGIN HDPE. ADVANTAGES OF K2 BIO FILTER MEDIA: K2 Bio Media Plus filter media has large specific surface area, which can increase the area where nitrifying bcteria attach. Its density is close to the water, so that it can flow through water.
- FILTRATION APPLICATION: This K2 filtration can be used to fresh water and marine aquariums, pond filter, aquaponics, aquaculture, hydroponics water filtration. This makes a great gift for anyone who has a fish tank. 𝐃𝐈𝐘 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: K2 Bio Filter Media may be used in BIY in-tank or sump moving bed filters. An air pump is needed to make the filter media move in the water. It is most efficient using micro air bubbles although regular air stones will also work.
- EASY TO USE & MAINTENANCE: It's very easy to use the fish filter media. Bio Media Plus K2 Filter Media is designed to be self-cleaning. For a static bed filter, you just need to pour the media into the sump tank water, container, or mesh bag- you don’t have to clean it at all. Just let the media stay in the water where they are. For a moving bed filter place, you will need to incorporate an air pump and air stone to make the media move in the container.
